Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

DroneSight ("DroneSight," "we," "us," or "our") operates getdronesight.com and is building a community-hosted receiver network for drone detection and public airspace awareness. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you apply to our private beta program, how we use it, and the choices you have. By submitting an application or otherwise providing us information, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

When you apply to become a beta tester or receiver host through our website or through our advertisements on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads), we collect:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address

We do not request or collect payment information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data through our beta application process.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to:

  • Evaluate your eligibility to become a drone tracking node (receiver host) in our network
  • Communicate with you about the status of your beta application
  • Send you setup instructions, installation support, and program updates if you're approved
  • Respond to questions you send us directly

We do not use your name or email address for any purpose beyond communicating with you about the DroneSight beta program.

3. We Do Not Sell Your Data

DroneSight does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes — ever. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate (for example, email delivery or form-processing tools), but only to the extent necessary to run our beta program, and only under obligations that restrict them from using your data for any other purpose.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of DroneSight, our users, or the public.

4. Information Collected Through Meta/Facebook Lead Ads

If you apply through a Facebook or Instagram Lead Ad, your name and email address are submitted to us directly through Meta's Lead Ads platform. This submission is also subject to Meta's own Data Policy, which governs how Meta collects and processes information on its platforms. We recommend reviewing Meta's policy to understand their practices separately from ours.

5. Data Retention

We retain your name and email address for as long as needed to evaluate your application and, if you're approved, to support your participation as a receiver host. If your application is not approved, or if you ask us to delete your information, we will remove it from our active records within a reasonable time.

6. Your Choices

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what information we have about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information from our records
  • Stop receiving communications from us

To make any of these requests, contact us using the information below.

7. Children's Privacy

DroneSight's beta program is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our beta program evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
